So sorry to hear it's not good news after your vet's trip with your little puppy today

Our vets work wonders, even with these little guys, so just be patient, she'll be going on a drip to rehydrate her and then tests should find out exactly why she ended up like this. These things happen. I once had a little spaniel a matter of a few weeks old, who came from a good breeder, she had distemper the vet thought, but between the pair of us, we saved her, so please think positive.

Sending lots of positive vibes that you're going to get her home fit and well again soon. Please keep us informed, and keep pestering them to find out how she's doing, which I'm sure you will. Good luck with her, I'm really rooting for her.

I'm so sorry to hear Maisie is in the vets, but she will be well looked after and hopefully they will find out what is causing her dehydration and sort her out.
Healing vibes being sent to Maisie from me and my two four legged friends. Keep us updated.

Oh no poor little girl.

I'm so sorry to hear she is poorly. I'm sure your vet can get to the bottom of whatever it is and fingers crossed it is nothing too sinister and she will be back home with you all again soon xx

Good news, the vet called to say she has perked up considerably. They had her on a drip and also a course of de-worming, her tummy is now not so distended, and there are other tummy related improvements, I probably don't need to go into any more detail on those
So we'll be collecting her this evening, and the family will be whole again. Amazing that, after only one week of dog ownership, we have all become so attached to her...
I've been very touched by all your responses - thank you so much for all the positive vibes and messages of support, it's lovely to get first hand experience of the caring dog owners' community!
