True enough - at least Kali is still pretty quick on his pins, although I suspect he may be getting slightly deaf (he used to wake instantly at the whisper "Bonio", now we have to shout or whistle at him) and he seems to be afraid of the dark, which may mean he can't see as well as he did - but he still watches flies, and aircraft going over - which are all "helicopters" to him

He does seem to appreciate his new comfy bed now, and the vet thinks he's "on the right track" for a few years yet. I told Angela about the vitamin supplement SA37 that Kali gets, and I think Merlin will be getting it, too. I think he's in good hands, and that there are very few dogs who are loved more than he is.

It's not just that Kali and Merlin are the same litter that makes me uneasy - it's that I'm very fond of Merlin himself, he's a great dog.
