Hello Alison I am delighted to hear your dog has recovered and the problem was nothing more serious.

What food are you feeding? if you dog was previously straining to poo perhaps a change of food may help him.

..Alison I have just seen you feed AG, I would be inclined to soak it and maybe add a little salmon oil which may make things a little easier for him . He is quite an elderly chap and with stiff joints he may need a bit of help.

He is having arden grange hypoallergenic senior, advised by my vet, hes doing really well on it and it also contains glucosaimine which is good for joints x
