Is this to early

Our new pup is now 7 weeks old and we have been told we can pick him up this weekend if we want.
Normally I would not take a pup until 8 weeks so I am unsure what to do.
The pup is one of the bigest in the litter fully weened, paper trained etc and we have other dogs so his socialisation with other animals will continue.
The only thing I dont want to do is cause problems if I take him too early.

Does anyone have any advice on this, this weekend would be ideal for us but its must also be good for the pup.

I got Kai at 7 weeks and too be Honest had a lot more trouble with him than the rest of my Dogs which I got at 8 weeks plus.
But saying that he may have been a nightmare anyway .

I'm sure it has worked out well for a Lot of people tho

I know alot breeders wait till 8weeks but the last to breeders we got ours off said a couple of days either side is not a problem. Star was 7weeks 3days and Skye 7weeks 4days and did not have any trouble with them.

I got Georgie the day before he was 7wks
He was fully weaned and not feeding from the mother. He was also paper trained. He was the 1 who always slept away from the other pups and the mother

In my opinion, he was fine to take at the age I took him, I've never had any problems with him

We had sanchez at 6 weeks and he has not been any trouble. We didnt have any of the seperation anxiety and he was fully weened and paper trained. As long as the puppy is happy to leave then you should have no problems

Remember we want pictures

I prefer to pick up a pup at 8 weeks, but if this weekend is ideal for you then I would collect your pup at 7 weeks. How exciting

got ben at 7 weeks, had 2 crying nights, but he settled down quickly, i had given his mum a jumper to lie on for a while plus a soft toy,so he had his mums scent, and he was fully weaned, and went outside for his tiddles.had 2 weeks of wet paper nights. he was a joy, still is.

I too prefer to get them at 8 weeks, but like Moobli says if this week end suits then go for it and I hope all works out well for you and the puppy. Look forward to pictures. Good luck you must be really excited.
