Dogsey Daily Monday 29th January 2018

Morning all that come before noon. Grey and very overcast here. First of all my apologies to Gordon if I confused him. I just meant that all birds even the humble chicken which is a raptor need a head count occasionally or should that be beak count. bg!! No I haven't been on the grog Gordon. As to homeopathy, my lovely boy Tyto has been on it for awhile now for his leg problem and suffice it to say he is better for it. Well off to see if I can get my wing mirror fixed. This is the second time in as many months that some nice person has whacked it. Have a good day all.

Morning Brenda & all who follow

What a pita about your wing mirror. Hope you get it fixed and it’s not too expensive.

I didn’t hear about the birdwatch until too late but never see sparrows nowadays the only birds on my feeders are usually varieties of tits. I do enjoy seeing buzzards and red kites in the area. Sadly I think it’s only the pigeon population that’s increased.

I just heard the backend of a report about the Carillon fiasco and pension shortcoming. My ears pricked up as the name of a former employer was mentioned so if I’m in the numbers somewhere that’s 20+ years contributions down the swanny just to add to the misery for ladies of my age having their state pension put back a few years. This country really has gone to the dogs.

Steve is back to work today after 8 days off....he is not going to be a happy boy Lol, they have started him off on a week of mid shifts, today he starts at 12 and finishes at about 8.30 so he is already unimpressed.

Hi Twix

"My ears pricked up as the name of a former employer was mentioned so if I’m in the numbers somewhere that’s 20+ years contributions down the swanny"

Provided your former employer was not a subsidiary of Carillion then I'm fairly certain you will be OK. Carillion had several subsidiary companies but the vast majority of work was done by small to medium size independant companies.

Most (if not all) of those companies will likely not get paid for any outstanding invoices, but that has nothing to do with your pension.

Speak to your pension administrater to be sure. It (the pension fund) may have been transfered to an insurance company that specialise in pension administration, I had one (small) one that is now run by some insurance outfit. I would have preffered it stayed with the old company pension admin people who I trusted, don't know anything about the new people just have to hope they are honest and capable

Good afternoon all. Horrible rainy day here, but quite mild considering.

We've knocked the wing mirror twice now (tight garage). First time it broke it so full replacement at a cost of £200 (ouchies). Second time it just knocked off so the dealer fixed it free of charge so we were lucky.

Hubby was in the dog house on both occasions so he is ultra careful now

Gordon Mac - Yes I've decided I shall have to pay more attention to the nurses in our local GP surgery after all they are the ones who know. We were having a laugh as she was telling me how she envisaged my wife forcing me to eat apple pie, apple crumble, apple cake etc. Seems that apples are good but cream is not

Thanks to all of you who commented on the photo I posted recently. I'm pretty sure it was a tad 'out of focus' but no one mentioned it It was a triumph for me that I remembered how to post photos

Casey is in his usual position (behind my chair) just waiting for the slighest hint that the W-A-L-K is imminent It's rainning hard so we'll wait a bit. Mrs. Losos thinks she may come today as well so that will be fun
