No rain here yet but very close/sticky climate and overcast.

As for my eye it is still very red on the eyelids but only to be expected, trouble is not rubbing it I find hard, as it feels as if it has grit in it. This is down to the operation and what they did. Strill give it time and will get better as the scaring heals up. I still really can't get over the fact that I felt nothing while they worked on the eye, thinking only a few years ago this operation wasn't even done , I understand about 3/4 years only but many more in the USA.

Thank goodness for the NHS, it would have cost a small fortune to have to pay for it

Morning everyone,
Yayy for Lona I'm really pleased she's ok.
Moyra glad your kitchen is coming on and glad your builder seems like a nice guy
Griff hope you are ok, and LG good luck judging the veg, your story of the 2blokes going at each other reminds of a scene from Midsummer Murders
Morning Brenda, hope you have a good day too

We got woke up about 3.30 this morning with the thunderstorms and torrential rain Rosie was scared, so had to sort her out too.
Well yesterday we went to the hospital with Tony for his results from the mri, what a complete waste of time the consultant said its the inside of his cartledge so he can't do anything, and that was his complete diagnosis, he was over an hour late, so we'd say waiting for that now I get not everything can be repaired, but no offer of how to deal with it or anything so I managed to keep calm- just- and said ' he's in a lot of pain, how does he cope with that??' Bloke turns to me and said' pain killers & if his job too much, speak to your boss'
I was livid!!!
Tony said this morning that his boss said same, so Tony said he's going to ring the doctors on Monday ( well it be me ) and speak to him about a second opinion.
On a much happier note Liam is coming home for the weekend
Have a good day all, I'm off to the hairdressers for a trim at 10 30

Glad the op went well, Tweed, could you damp a paper towel to dab on your eye? Be soothing I think.
I think the nhs are amazing- I think we are all very lucky

Good morning everyone

Pleased the kitchen is coming on well Moyra and hope when finished it is to your satisfaction. Sorry yu got wet walking Amber

Poor Tony and what a fiasco. Just because the specialist was late he could have been kinder in his opinion and helped with suggestions better. Yes press for a second opinion its not fair to have to live with such pain.

Hope the emails hold up until you have answered them all Brenda.

The trouble with the local veg gang is they always think they are the best one and cannot see any different whereas in the dog show ring we just look at the winner and then take the best dog home without complaining although muttering to ourselves Good luck tomorrow Gordon.

Jus managed to get back from walking Teazle and the heavens opened , its still lightly raining and looks set for the rest of the day. I will tell you this the day doesn't half go quickly with all this clock watching to do his lordships eyes every two hours

Have a good day and stay safe.

The kitchen fitter didn't turn up until 12.30 yesterday and now he was supposed to be here at 9.00 am still no sign of him. I am peed off to put it mildly.

Sorry about Tony being in so much pain, maybe the doc can give him something stronger to help him cope with it.

Everyone fine here, we've had rain but doesn't look as though it was heavy. Slept last night for the first time in ages
Hoping Nippy is OK because she had the op and not heard since.
Amazing about the eye op Barry, and wonderful its going to make such a difference
What a horrid man Mandy, if he was a dog you'd take him to Supervet who would sort him outcould you go to a consultant privately for an opinion, then get it done on NHS because I find hard to take in there is nothing that can be done.
Pity they don't have private medicine where Tony works.
Glad the kitchens going well Moyra and hope there isn't too much mess.
Happy New Emails Brenda
Sue you should get a medal, in fact one every 2 hours

Mandy, they can do cartilidge transplants now so that man is talking out of his a*se, my knee consultant helped pioneer the procedure hence me knowing about it
http://www.timspalding.com/
click on operative technique for meniscal allograft transplantation under the medical professionals header and you will see the op! i think it is about £150-£200 for a private consultation...i paid that to see a dermatologist privately
Moyra, hope the workman shows up soon
TW, pleased to hear Mabs is happy with her mums progress...i think Lona might be saying she would prefer to stay on the sofa with the tv at night Lol
Tumbleweed, you are right, the nhs is a terrific thing, we are all very very lucky and i count my blessings for it everyday
well it is soggy here, i need to go to the vet to sort some medication out for Dex...will wait and see if it dries out later
