Some of the animals in our care.
These are some of our more recent additions at the sanctuary.
This is Lord Snooty, he is an 11 year old Burmese with chronic diarrhoea. His owner had a toddler and was planning to open a nursery, but Snooty was pooping outside his litter tray and, to be fair, had tried everything but we're at the point of putting him to sleep. As a last ditch attempt she asked if we would take him. He is a lovely old boy but he is a bit messy, at the moment we are working on a sensitivity diet and a probiotic.
Woodrow came a few months ago, he was hand reared as a pet but started to attack the owner and her daughter, although he was ok with the father and son. She contacted another sanctuary who couldn't help, but they asked if we could. I've always had a hankering for turkeys and never thought we would have one. Strangely he came with a friend, Edith. A few months later we were asked to take another turkey, Grover, who's owners were moving.
This is Mocha, she's a year old and had been booked in to be PTS at the vets for aggression. They asked if we could help, so home she came. Her owners were grateful we could take her and she is slowly improving with confident handling.
