Oh for goodness sake how about them employing people to go around cutting back in the Autumn like most gardeners do. I always cut off dead heads as they appear so they blossom more prolifically through the summer.
Well DEFRA two fingers to you as I have just planted a pink one and will be planting a white one and deep purple too before long and the orange globe one too.
They will be wanting all life forms eradicated from the planet soon if we don't watch out.

Well I'm with Nigel Colborn when he says:

"And let’s raise a glass to the 17th-century botanist and Essex clergyman after whom the plant was named: the Reverend Adam Buddle."

I'm after a white one now BTW.

Glad it made you lol Nippy Jen honestly though they do come out with some c*** sometimes. There are better ways of managing some things that are actually a good thing for our wild life than destroying them.
Trying to climb down off my soap box now.

The one in the pictures was already here the pink one we bought recently was in a garden centre sale it is a lot smaller but they don't take long to grow. Keep looking in the garden centres for half price ones Eileen. You can also buy them on the net if you google for them.

Eileen, they root so easily if you can find one to get a lump off. They're often found growing around unused buildings.
