Wonder what her first non HP book will be like ...

Out 27th ..

I'll be reading it. When I first read the blurb, I thought it sounded kind of dull but on reflection I think it could potentially be very good. I've always thought one of her strongest points as an author is her characters. Very few children's books have such delightfully complex characters like Snape, normally they are split into a clear good/bad stereotype. This new book appears to be more about the characters life's than some epic adventure plot, but I think it plays to her strengths and could be very interesting.

I feel a bit for her, a gamble to branch out and try such a different genre and she will be judged heavily. Must be nerve wracking for her! I hope it goes well. People who say "She's made millions, why doesnt she just give up now? She's being greedy" make me mad. She wants to write, she didn't write Harry Pottwr to get rich, she wrote it to tell a story. She was lucky and did get rich, but why should she be denied a love of writing because of that?

I hope this new release goes well for her. But I suspect she won't be able to win, purely because it's not Harry Potter 2 and many fans won't be able to handle it. I hold a new audience will enjoy it. Personally, I think I would have published under a pseudonym at first, to take the pressure off and to prove that my writing can be successfully on its own merits not because it's attached to a famous name

I didn`t think her others were much good so won`t bother.

I never read Harry Potter but might give this book a try.

What is it about?

Will buy it ASAP ---might borrow mothers kindle and dowload it!

Just looked On Amazon and the book is cheaper than the kindle edtion ....How do they work that out lol

Just done the same----add postage and its a similar price. Debating what to do now.....

I used to read Harry Potter at midnight on the release day. Wonder if its worth doing the same---decisions decisions....

Tesco ,Adsa and the like will have it cheaper 2... Sainburys online was the cheapest place last night , free postage too..
