I thought house number and postcode was ok?

Both mine have tags with my surname, address, two phone numbers and "chipped" on. I'd like some pom poms!!!

Yes you can have surname, number or name of house, and postcode, this is still legally compliant.

Mine all have Indigo Collar Tags. One of my springers was notorious for losing his tag and I had to replace it every couple of weeks got an Indigo tag and he has managed to kieep it now for over 3 years They are slightly more expensive but have a lifetime guarantee against wear and tear and breakage.

Should hope so lol, she has two tags as one slips onto her normal collar but she has a clip collar so has a normal tag.
Just checked her normal tag and it only has her name and house phone on it.
Seen one on ebay who does plain tags in about 10 fonts for about £1.50 so may get one

I just engrave my own, it's easy. An engraver costs less than £10 and a pack of plain metal tags and some rings cost less than £10, so for under £20 my dogs have tags on every collar (they like to accessorise) and if the writing looks worn I just go over it again. I also sell engraved tags in my shop for £2.50 each. I don't get why people charge more for hand engraved tags, it's daylight robbery.

A few years ago I went to our local key cutters / engravers for three new tags and I got moaned at because he gets a sore hand from doing three in a row. Stop doing engraving then you moaning old git!

Oh and can I add please that in the two and a half years since I opened my shop I have had 5 straying dogs handed in to me and none had tags so I had to have the dog warden out. If people just put a simple tag on their dog's collar those dogs could have been back with their owners much sooner. The majority of client's dogs either have no tag or one with the phone number and the dog's name on it. Probably less than 10% have the address and of those very few have the owner's name. I think most people just don't know the law regarding ID on dogs.
