Damn seizures!

Just shy of a year since my last grand mal seizure and I had to go and have one last night Hubby found me lying half in the bedroom half in the dining room freezing cold and unconscious. Given my history we're assuming a seizure and I woke up today sore as hell which is a normal after effect. So I'm spending today moving from couch to bed coz one minute I'm awake and the next I'm falling asleep. Trying not to move any more than I absolutely have to coz it bloody hurts and so far today I've eaten 10 spring rolls, 2 large bars of chocolate, a load of cheese, chocolate cherry things and a huge bag of crisps. Know what? I'm still freaking starving!

Ouch! Hope you very quickly get over the after-effects. I know it takes my lad anything up to a week to fully recover from a bad episode

It sounds awful. Someone I knew use to suffer too and it use too make me think myself extremely lucky when she use to tell me what she went through especially if it happened when she was out shopping.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks guys. Know how he feels Brierley, usually takes me around a week to recover properly. I can deal with the aches and pains, it's the fuzzy head when it seems as though my thoughts are swimming in treacle that drives me nuts.

I don't find seizures too bad to be honest Lynn. I'd probably be a lot more embarrassed over them if I lost control of my bladder or bowels but the howling then falling over backwards to thrash around on the floor...well, not so much I feel worse for anyone who tries to help me than for myself, I can be a little violent when first coming round

Malka, tell Pereg I've had her seizure for her so she's not to go having one and upsetting you!
