I agree with you about use by dates, disagree with you about meat, and will just say that glass chopping boards blunt knives...

I know and understand the theory about not washing chicken but when buying from the poulterers in the shuk I obviously have to Kasher them before cooking [or freezing], and that involves soaking and salting.
