Monty's Operation Thread (Updated @ post 41)
Well tomorrow is the big day and after months of waiting
Firstly I want to say a huge thanks to all my dogsey pals who have followed Montys story and sent well wishes and words of encouragement in the run up to his operation. Also thanks to everyone for listening to me go an about it, I feel like I've talked about it way too much and hope people are not bored of hearing his story.
Monty is finally having his operation to remove his cysts and restructure his head tomorrow and I'm a bag of nerves.
Monty on the other hand is cool, calm, collected and has no idea what's coming. He's currently cuddled up by my side sleeping soundly after spending the evening pestering for his dinner that he's not allowed.
I'm dropping him off at 8:30am tomorrow and have packed him a few things that are either familar/fave toys or smell of me/home.
I've given him a massive cuddle and reminded him that no
matter where I leave him or for how long that i always come back and assured him that he is the best dog in the world.
I've got some photos to post tomorrow as before photos and hope to update this thread often to update on his progress. Removal of this type of dermoid cyst is something that didn't seem well documented on the net so Im hoping to create something useful for anyone who might find themselves in our shoes.
I will update tomorrow as soon as I have news from the surgeon and again thanks to everyone for their support.
