Yay - I've Been Discharged From The Hospital
I had to go for a check up on my throat this afternoon, I thought I was going to have to have the camera down my throat again and a blood test but I didn't and it was all over in 10 minutes
The results of my last bloods confirmed that the remaining half of thyroid is working perfectly and the last camera session confirmed that there was nothing nasty lurking in my throat...which was a huge relief to hear. The consultant thoroughly checked my throat and neck out with his hands and said that he was pleased to confirm that he couldn't feel the other tumour so he is certain that it hasn't grown and, fingers crossed, will lay dormant.
He agreed that I could be discharged so I wasted no time in visiting my returning to work counsellor who has completed all the necessary paperwork so that I can commence my book-keeping course and start looking for work. I have to wait until Friday for the paperwork to hit the computer system so she has advised that I turn up at the local job centre next week and start hounding them...I've got plenty of copies of my CV printed off already
Ideally I will be able to work as a self-employed book-keeper once qualified but I need to work, not just for the money but for the stimulation...I've been going stir crazy just lately...as you've probably all noticed

no never noticed Hope you find the job you want very soon, I'm sure there is some firm out there just crying out for someone with your talent and experience.
