You could use a dap collar/ dap spray or dap diffuser. these take about 2 weeks to begin to build up for effect though. There is also a vetinary company called Dorwest who sell herbal based medicines. Valerian and skullcap can be used to relieve anxiety. If you want a non medicinal solution an anxiety wrap might help.

here are some links.

I ahve used all of these products with Fudge as she is sound phobic. She is wearing adap collar presently to help with the noise from builders next door.I hope you manage to find something that works for you.

Have tried rescue remedy it does work to a certain degree, but the winds were so loud the other night it didn't seem to make a difference

Hi Twinsky what do you do when your dog is upset , it is tempting to comfort the dog I know but it is better to be bright and matter of fact or the dog may get the impression there really is something to be scared of.

One other thing you can try (although not a tempting prospect in the night) is to play with the dog/a toy. This acts as a distraction and will also help the dog to associate the wind with pleasurable things.

How is your little dog now??

I have a dog who can get spooked and unsettled by noises, I use bach Rescue Remedy, leave her to find a place she is comfortable, if she wants to hide, that is fine, I also use Ttouch, and have found this works quickly to relax her.

Good luck, I hope all is fine now
