Well its me again..... Sorry...
Hi all
Well this time I need advice on how to react in situations like the 2 described below:
Friday morning, we go down for our morningwalk. We go past 2 men who are getting trashcontainers out, up from the basement and ready to be emptied. Luna goes towards one of them to say hi, when she turns back, he suddenly makes a quick movement with his arm (he wanted to say hi), and Luna barks and growls (shackles raised in neck and "butt area" at him and backs away from him and towards me (she's on lead).... My theory is she got spooked by the arm movement. Well we go on, and everything is normal.
Then today (sunday) we go for a walk... The weather is windy and snowing. A couple out walking come towards us. Luna is off lead, but walking by my left side (heel) and I talk to her, while we pass the lady (the man has gone a bit back, as he had lost his glove on the ground) saying: "I know you want to say hi, but they might not want to say hi to you". The lady says she wants to say hi, so I let Luna go over to say hi.... After a cuddle from the lady Luna turns towards the man (who have a parkacoat on, you know those jackets with a BIG hood and a fury edge on the hood? He has the hood up as its bad weather) and then she starts barking at him, a bit of a growl, but not much.. Raised shackles.... Again my theory is that she got scared by the big hood.
How do I react in these situations? Calm her? Scold her? Ignore it?
Help.... please.......
