Mad Puppy

Loki has started to teeth in earnest so he is keeping us awake with his gadding about. Poor little devil is chewing loads and calling for us in the middle of the night. We have been keeping him in the kitchen with a stairgate across the doorway but today he learned to jump over it so he now has the whole house to roam in. If we shut the door he cries.

THIS IS A NIGHTMARE

Earlier on he'd managed to get into the bathroom to steel a toilet roll ala Andrex puppy and proceeded to shred it all over the hall. Very proud of himself he was too and a short while ago, I found him shut in the bathroom with the contents of the bin upended; tissues, cotton wool buds and orange peel all over the floor and - pregnancy test in his mouth

I know - at the time you think, "arghghghgh!" but within about 2 secs, you go, "awwww, bless!"

If I told you some of the mayhem Minnie's caused you'd think Loki was quite placid

just walked into the front room to find Lola on top of the table, she sort of froze and tried to look at me while trying not to look at me

When Kinglsey was a pup, he chewed a brand new pair of boots, that my mum had only bought earlier that day.

She took them back to the shop and said when she took them out of the box, the damage was already there!!

We are having a battle of wills over the sofa and bed at the moment.

Loki is winning ... ops:

Oh don't mention shoes! He either sleeps on them or chews them. I put my H's slippers away, he gets them out and gnaws at them - ongoing all day!

And when he is feeling stroppy he throws a tantrum in the kitchen (well this was before he learned to jump the stairgate) and chucks everything around - bed, water bowl, food bowl, towels, anything he can reach from the counters, paper and plastic lining his area ....
