MICROCHIPPING of dogs will become compulsory in Wales in April 2016.
The announcement follows that of a delay in introducing the law, which should have come into force next month.
The draft regulations had been withdrawn to ensure they were ‘fit for purpose’ but on Monday the Welsh Government announced suddenly that although further consultation was needed the law would be introduced in just over a year’s time, the same time as it will be in England.
