Police are urging dog owners to review their security following an attempted break-in at a property in Norfolk where a number of dogs are kept.
The attempt took place overnight between Saturday 20 September and Sunday 21 September at the property in Walpole Highway.
Offender(s) attempted to force entry into an outbuilding, however no entry was gained and nothing was stolen.
"This is the third report of an attempted break-in we have had to premises with a number of dogs in the past month in Downham Market and surrounding areas.
I would encourage any dog owners in the area to review their security arrangements, fit alarms where appropriate and be extra vigilant to any suspicious behaviour around your premises, particularly in the hours of darkness.
– PS Daniel Frew from Downham Market Safer Neighbourhood Team"

In view of the recent fires at three different kennels, these attempted break-ins are a cause for worry.
