KC ‘shocked’ by dog-cloning programme

Following the television programme about dog-cloning, the Kennel Club have made the following comment:

THE KENNEL Club says it is ‘genuinely shocked’ by the TV programme about a contest offering dog cloning as its prize.

The club said cloning jeopardised dog welfare and that the ethics involved were questionable.

Well do we have any proof it's really safe I have said several times on the other forum Dolly the Sheep didn't end well, she had quite an unhealthy life considering she was so well looked after. Also if people expect an exact copy will they expect the same temperament too ? a dogs experiences form their characters so while you get an identical look you may get a very different dog and some people may find that hard to accept. I can see why they are worried.

I have to agree with Julie. cloning just isn't natural and I'd expect some seriously BAD results from lots of the procedures. Perhaps it's fine and no problems will really occur, but for some reason... it just doesn't sit well with me.
