Hello from Norwich

Hi- I recently realised that I should have introduced myself so sorry for lateness and here goes. I live in Norwich, Norfolk with my lovely husband and 2 Kerry Blue terriers called Cherry (9) and eight year old Parker. We rehomed our dogs just over 6 years ago from Kerry Blue rescue. They had to be rehomed as their owners had a new baby that was severely ill and the consultant said that all pets must go.

We have done obedience, agility and heelwork to music and Parker has lots of rosettes won at local shows and 3 best-in-show trophies and one reserve best-in-show won last year (proud mummy!). He is not too keen on showing though so don't go to many shows and also takes ages for me to groom him to look remotely anything like he is supposed to look like!

Fortunately though not many Kerries about so people wouldn't know if he is groomed correctly or not. I am always getting asked if they are Poodles/Scotties/Schnauzers/Labradoodles etc but have got used to it now.

Would love another dog now they are getting older but know this is not a good idea as money and time constraints don't permit.

I especially like non-shedding breeds of dog as I am asthmatic and was told when I was a child that I would never be able to have a dog (hurrah that was wrong) but when I visit other people's homes with other breeds of dog that moult I get very wheezy unfortunately.

hey, had to laugh at your lateness but was lovely reading about how you came to own cherry and parker (although, very sad reason they had to be rehomed )... anyways here is a belated welcome from me and jake

I am exactly the same! I have to build up a tolerance to other dogs, and even to my own, took about 2-3 weeks ish but was worth it
