DJ Mike Smith

I wouldn't say I'm fanatical about keeping up with the news but I listen to it most days on BBC Radio 2.
So I'm quite surprised to learn (just this minute) that former Radio 1 DJ Mike Smith died on 1st August aged just 59.
Does anyone else remember him from Top of the Pops and The Late Late Breakfast Show with Noel Edmonds?
Never heard a thing about it 'til reading it in the TV guide.

Yes I remember him and I remember him and his wife Sarah Green having the helicopter crash. I think they were both lucky to walk away from that.

Yes they were Nippy Jen. What a shame to then be robbed of life so young.

I did remember hearing on news he died, he was quite young wasn't he
