Hello from Mike & Kayla

I would like to introduce to everyone my new partner and service pal Kayla. She is a rescue from Montana where she was dumped in the woods by her previous owner. Who ever it was could not afford obviously the medical treatment for her heart murmur.

Kayla came into my life at a time when I suffered a severe emotional and psychological loss of my service dog Sierra through a deliberate act of poisoning. She was my service dog trained for Vets with PTSD.While the person has been identified the police will do nothing because she is a dog.

It has been just thirty days since she and I became partners. She has bonded beyond any level of any normal expectations for any rescue. Her special personality is developing at her own pace. Everyday you can see in her that Sierra's spirit is guiding her as well as protecting us both. This is what makes life better for those with PTSD.

I am so sad to hear about what happened to your beloved Sierra - and hope that Kayla is able to fill that Sierra-shaped hole in your heart and give you the love and support that you need.

Mike, I am sure you are right about Sierra's spirit guiding Kayla. Sounds as though she will be perfect for you to comfort you in your loss and to work with you. Good luck and good health. Moyra
