You will need a memory card, the internal 12mb memory will not let you take many "best" quality pics.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 7900 which is similar to yours and I am dead chuffed with it!

If you type in www.pricerunner.co.uk type in SD memory cards, you will find the cheapest, get at least 128mb.

I paid £35 extra, and I got a 256mb card with it, and a leather case.
Is a 256 card ok?

You could of got a 128mb of there for £9.99

Yes that card should be fine it holds around 200 pics, and stores videos

Yep, sure is, looking forward to the pics! Your camera does a sports composit, like mine, 16 photos in under 2 seconds, then it puts them all in one picture, really cool it is, I practiced along the canal with the Ducks jumping in!
