Microfibre towel

Can anyone tell me whether there is a difference between a pet towel and a good old plain microfibre towel?

From what I can see they are both made out of microfibre - so I'm guessing someone has thought up a clever marketing gimmick and just stuck the word dog in front of the word towel, then marked it up by 300%

Cannot comment. Like Carole I always use ordinary towels to dry off the dogs. I suspect it is a marketing ploy?

LOL Deefin.

Think it must be a marketing ploy.

Use microfibre towels for hiking trips so reckon it'll be fine to use on our pup too. Just wanted to make sure he couldn't chew on it and break particles off - it's going to be the towel we leave with the breeder on Friday so it can have his Mum and sister's scent on it when he eventually comes home with us.

I'm almost 95% convinced that the pet towel is the same as a microfibre towel but wanted to be 100% convinced, so if any of you are microfibre experts out there, would be grateful for the info

MC I too know nothing about microfibres but one observation, when you have very tiny puppies (this should not affect you and Fern) if you are using the sort of towel with loop type pile the babies can get their little claws caught on the loops and tear the claws , perhaps dog/ puppy has a sort of velvet pile without loops..
