Shelby, Rock and Spock would sit all day for a good vacuuming...I've not had a vacuum since Meatball moved in so I'm not sure. He doesn't like the hair dryer much though.

Do you all have shedding blades? They're a metal strip with pointy teeth and a handle on either end? You can loop the handles together to make an oval or leave them apart and sort of just pull the blade back through the coat? Sounds similar to what you're talking about. I sold one at Petsmart and watched the people use it in the parking lot. They came back in asking for bags for the hair.

Mine would feel like I invited her to play
She still thinks the vaccum is the funniest thing she ever saw.. I useally tell her to stay in her basket or to stay down when I clean.

I think a bath or maybe a swim would be better in my case

I don't think any dog can be as bad as my mollie, her coat is thicker and longer than most boxers..she sheds all the time..I daren't wear black or any dark colour....
