Good morning Moyra and all who follow

Hope there is less banging next door today Griff.

Hope all two and four legged are well

Off again shortly to No.1 son's to paint his hall and kitchen (open plan). Spent yesterday doing the prep, which he said would be done, so hopefully most of it will need only one coat and we can finish it today or at least by tomorrow.

Sun is shining but quite chilly out there.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Good morning all.

Sunny and chilly here too.

Been there, seen it, done it, got the teeshirt with sons saying 'everything will be ready' to go and decorate .

Kids, who'd av' 'em?

My daughter had decided she'd like an Amazon Echo for Christmas instead of the money, which is fine.

'Which one would you like, Karen'?

'Oh, I didn't know they made more than one, I'll get back to you'

Having got back to me:

'What colour do you want'?

'Oh, I didn't know they made more than one colour'

'But you sent me the link'

'OK, I'll get back to you'

As said, kids, who'd 've 'em?

Morning Moyra, Sue, Chris and griff.

Sunny here this morning after rain yesterday afternoon and evening.
Had a facetime call from Michael last night showing me round their apartment. It's lovely two terraces from the lounge and a bedroom but they both have much needed air con units on them.
The lounge and bedroom do have lovely french doors they can have open if wanted.
They are renting from Maca's mum and dad. So have got a good deal cheaper rent and no deposit and it's all been repainted.
Beth popping for a cuppa later.

Sue hope you get the decorating finished today and can have a rest from it.
How's the new Granddaughter doing and family ?
Chris what a nightmare hope she can decide soon.
griff glad there doesn't seem to be as much noise today.

Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well today.

No1 son has a lot of trouble with tarten paint. It is a question of keeping everything in line. Sue normally uses striped paint so has a better idea on how to apply it onto walls.
I think the main problem was deciding which tarten colour pattern to use which is why he wanted help

Nice catch up with Beth earlier agent called while she was here structural survey booked.
Wanted Monday but said no due to having boiler serviced. So booked for Thursday 11 am. Asked how long he expects to be here answer an hour. What kind of structural survey is that then ?
Have informed agent if they are looking for negotiation we may drop a little but it will only be a little any significant amount we will negotiate and the deal will be ended.
Then email from solicitor about radon gas not sure anyone knew what it was in the 1700's when this house was built.
Also will be pay for the indemnity insurance ? Also have we had any problems I think they refer to claims on ours answer no to both.
Admitted £56 is not a lot but we had to buy ours when we moved here I am getting the impression they are looking to now pay less or getting cold feet altogether.
Feeling very peeved.

If they start mucking about Lynn wanting a reduction... depending on how you know feel about your house given what properties you have seen, I would just tell them to eff off. Personally I think they are getting a major bargain! As do my parents, my dad said if he was looking to move he would have had your house

Awww thank you griff. Already plotting what we will do if we end up staying.
Gorden was up for more of a project than me so if we stay we will hopefully make some more changes here some being fairly major.
ie: possible new conservatory or revamping existing one.
Make downstairs bathroom a shower room will mean removing the bath and putting a cubicle in. Also take out upstairs bathroom and put ensuite in our room that will do away with the macerator once and for all.
Then revamp garden.
Reckon that will be enough of a project for him on days off and weekends.
