There's no need to strip a staffy, a good brush will do!

Staffys are very shorthaired dogs and other than the occasional bath and a good brushing need nothing else done to their coat to prepare them for the ring.
Was this a staffy only ringcraft? I would be quite surprised that *anyone* in the staffyworld would give such advice?

Are you sure they didnt mention trimming just the tail?

I have never heard of a Staffie being handstripped. Stripping is only done if a dog is unable to moult naturally, like in many wire coated breeds. Also I was under the impression that Staffies don't have an undercoat, so if you stripped a staffie you would end up with a bald dog. Staffyman, I would go with Lels advice, bath and a good brush . Good Luck with the showing .
