what do u class as outside?
do u mean on walks?

if so, u need to practise these firstly indoors with increasing distractions. then in the garden with no distractions and gradually proof against distractions in the garden.

then when u take it 'outdoors', start somewhere quiet and gradually build up again. if they are running off to do their own thing, attach a long 30ft lead to reinforce your recall commands also so they cannot learn to ignore u

Thanks Jenny, outside as in the garden is fine, it is when we are in open spaces ( on walks off lead ) I get their attention most of the time but not all of the time. Another dog/bitch is much more interesting!

I can get them to wait on a loose lead at the roadside and they will not budge until I say over.

I appreciate the long leash method and I possibly need to do this seperately rather than with both boys in tow.

Mine will "Come" and "Stay" , but how do you get a dog to go away ? I've never tried that. How do they know when they've gone far enough ?

I have a hula hoop thing which I lay on the grass and teach them to go back to that!

Could also reinforce the cue more frequently to make behaviour stonger.

I have also trained comands down, come using whistle as well.

Hugs to boys
