I know they are, it says on the link that Wood Green are supporting the RSPCA in their investigation, and I would always hope the RSPCA were investigating something like that... but, I was meaning directly with Floyd, for b-eye to be mad at them and saying that they should have contacted a breed rescue... I was wondering why it is that they are having that aimed at them, like something specific.

If he was 10 years old, then maybe they thought it was too risky to put him through all that... especially given what he has been through. I think it is actually quite unfair to the rescue, to accuse them of not giving him a chance.

its the owners, not the RSPCA that should be held responsible. The RSPCA can only do as much as they can to look after animals. Maybe, it would have been too much for Floyd to go through........... Sad though it may seem

RIP Young Man...... May you now dream of fields of Green x x

Good Grief, do you think it would be FAIR to start something that would never be finished?

Removing a testicle
Removing teeth
Treating ear infections which could be so severe that invasive operations are needed
Dog can hardly see
Has severe arthritis

None of the above is CURABLE, although it may be TREATABLE.

I am the first person to bemoan the fact that the RSPCA and other organisations do not hand over to breed specialists but I think I would give them the benefit of the doubt in this case.

Everyone has there own opinions personly i would never give up on an animal and i no in a perfect world we all would like it to be perfect this breed is very vulnerable given that they carry such a heavy coat and that is priority if it isnt looked after from day one thats when problems start , same with all heavy coated breeds . It is the new owners who should take more notice when getting a puppy they only see a cute furball which they are i hope they do find whoever did this to him and deal with them we see a lot maybe not as bad of this in rescue but it is usually early in the dogs life i.e when the pup goes from puppy coat to junior so they are usually caught in time the coat on floyd had never seen a brush if people cant do it themselves there are groomers/ breed owners/ even vets who would help but we cant turn the clock back hopefully it will be a lesson learnt i shall keep him in mind for new owners of any of my pups xxxxx

Might add they say he was 10 but do they know. When I had my dog from the pound 2 years ago they said he was 11 now 2 years later my vet reckons he's 10. I'll never know how old he actually is,
