jake does this to me to get me attention. he also does it to wake me up in the morning when he needs out for the toilet he is a clever boy. i find it cute as well... well, it is when it isnt some ridiculous time in the morning

Yup, I too am walking around with big red, sore scratches down the front of my face today!!
Not so much a pat as a full scale "Jas attack" at warp speed!! I only asked him if he wanted to go busy, next I knew I was eating paw!!

Jet used to do this when he was in his begging phase. He'd sit in front of you, do the gooey eyes that labs do so well and then biff you with his paw. Fortunately he doesn't beg anymore =]
