Work woes

For my sins I am a glorified dustman. My job requires me to collect and dispose of bulk rubbish left/dumped by the residents of the council for which I work. And 200,000 homes produce quite a bit of junk.
Today I was clearing a garage site wherein someone had fly-tipped, and in doing so, I trod on a broken herb bottle. The glass was quite thick, and went through the sole of the boot, and cut the bottom of my foot.
I am, I suppose, quite a sad puppy, for, as I removed it, I noticed the label, and whilst clearing up the blood it occured to me that it proved the concept that Thyme is the heel grater.
I deserve all I get, really ...

Oh, that's not so bad. In the 4 years I've worked for the social housing group I've had 3 needle-stick injuries, where some muppet has either accidentally or deliberately left their hypodermic syringes in places where a worker can get jabbed. That is embarassing, as you have to have blood tests and injections etc. And in Coventry you get them at the local, to be blunt, clap clinic...

Oi! You're not supposed to say things like "clap clinic" here! Try saying "applause clinic" instead!
