Yip. I want you to get up.
Yip a bit louder.
Get up!
Yelp. Get up you lazy old fhart!
Smack the bed.
I'm not giving up.
Jump on the grouchy old bagger and roll him over.
You will get up.

OK. I get it. You are asking to be fed.
I did. Did.t you understand "yip"??

He is a smart dog. And knows how to get his way. And I have to give him full marks for tactics.

Well, I've got two to wake me and make certain I get up!

My Pei girl will stand by the front door and squeak like a wheel that need oiling and from time to time she'll come back into the bedroom and give me one of her "if looks could kill" stares!

My Schnauzer boy is quite brutal and uncaring about what he does to his dear old mum. I get head butted and bounced on but the worst is having a wet beard shoved up my nose!

That's usually the final straw

Quite impossible When we had Rianna she would come into the bedroom and put her cold wet nose under the duvet

I have a theory that dogs like to do a 'roll call' in the early morning just to check that all the pack are still around and no one went out in the night and didn't come back
