Door to door salesmen

I've just had a man come to my door trying to get me to have my car windows etched with my reg number , As some of you know i have a well known performance car and it has all the security i can think off on it also when he rang the bell the dogs started barking and ran towards the door by the time i had opened the door he was at the gate " i thought the dogs were coming for me " he said and then came over to me to ask me about my car

the answers i gave were
1.no thank you
2.no thank you
3.no thank you

He was very persistant but how many times do you need to say "no thank you" before they get the message. My hubby would have shut the door on him but me trying to be polite didn't
He was very suspicious looking so i waited till he had gone a few houses away before closing the door .

I dont think he'll come back as he was sooo scared of the dogs , good job he doesn't know they're big softies really.

I'd have to agree with your Hubby. I'd do the same thing.

lol - I I feel sorry for them as they are just trying to earn a living - I've snapped at (sales) people on the phone and then felt guilty for doing so

But Door to door salespeople is different cos like u said they could be dodgy! In that case (im terrible) I'd ask them about them:

can I see your ID please?
which office are you from?
Whats your name?
Ok thanks for the info but no thanks.
(door closes gently)
loL!

I'm too polite for my own good too unless someone calls when I'm having a really bad day. They get me growling at 'em and slamming the door

Door to door sales is illegal in Denmark, so don't experience that.

But Jehovas Witnesses comes by every so often, luckily I have a doorphone so I don't have to face them, can just say no through the doorphone
