That's a pretty classy lookin' board! (Googled some images...) Not dissimilar in shape to my home made Eddie Aikau board. Perfect for a bit of lazy summer day hanging toes off the nose!

its a nice ride but im getting a bit heavy so it bottoms out a lot

i also forgot that last time i rode it i had loosened everything to the point of stupidity so it took a while to get the balance back again

ive been looking at the lushlongboard site to get some ideas coz ive been thinking about shaping my own board

is yours a drop through?

Noooo! Solid Ash plank similar shape to your custom with Randal IIs & Kryptos. Weighs a ton but is nice & stable for carving up a medium speed hill or a bit of the flatland style stuff. (I use the term style with some artistic licence in my case.)

does the ash do the job then?

unless i can shift some weight i need to start thinking about a stiffer board and shorter wheel base

3/4" thick is plenty stiff made of ash. Was supposed to be oak, but the timber merchant got my order wrong.

got a bit bored the other night so i dragged out my old hook ups board, knocked up some home made risers and swapped the trucks off of the longboard onto the short board.

its a lot easier to turn and i dont have to worry about bottoming out coz it doesnt flex

my ma and pa are getting me a 2 dog gang line for my bday so ill be able to run kai and jaeger together while they pull my lazy ass!!!!

cant wait!!

I find one large Lab is enough for a reasonably brisk cruise around. Two dogs could get a bit mental! Hope you're not prone to speed wobbles!

im getting the balance back but still a few there

i find it easier to keep my balance at speed on the shorter board though its more responsive, the other is just a nightmare unless your on a wide downhill slope and then you can carve the face off it

i really cant wait to get them both pulling together to see if they can do it

Sounds like a lot of fun. I should look into something like that for my son and my sisters big dog I bet they would have a blast.
