My boy Kane!

Had to wait until I was in my late 30's to get a horse of my own (loaned a few before but it's not the same!) and my parents kindly bought me Kane. He came as a 5 year old but turned out to be not even 3 and very very green! Years of work, tears and drama's and he went from a very nervous (found out he was blind in his left eye!!) spooky horse into a fabulously fun insane gallopping freak!!

Turns out the cob likes to jump..so at 40 I started lessons as I'd only ever hacked out and wasn't keeping up with his abilities!!

From our first ever Cross country lesson..(when I saw the pictures I decided time for me to work too so I've lost 3 1/2stone since then!!)

To show jumping lessons at Riding club camp with a fabulous instructor!

To me achieving a life long dream of hunting (drag hunting) with him...which I'm now hooked on and can't wait til new season arrives soon!!!

To brave friends allowing him to really show his talents!!

To me finally attempting my first XC competition!!

And back to doing what we actually do best...just flat out galloping on our fabulous beaches!!

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't know how lucky I am! He's a true star and I wouldn't swap my hairy little brown cob for the most expensive fancy horse in the world.

Brilliant pics!!!!!

He is stunning.

I am a tad jealous, I used to breed Welsh Cobs (sec D) in a former life. Also had a 14h 3" Anglo Arab who I competed on. Now I dont ride or have anything to do with horses.

Good Luck with your eventing and hunting, he sure looks like he enjoys it all.

As in dogs, you always stable the best horse!

Cobs are great.
