Agree. I do wish people would stop trying to domesticate wild animals.

Here we go

The beeb say it better than I could. No justification to the murder of this majestic beast whatsoever. It was done for sport and shame on the person who did it and anyone who supports them.

Radio four this morning is saying it's actually not true - the rumour was spread to protect the beast (allegedly) and it's been sighted by several people.

Here's hoping.......

Great, so they spread a rumour it's been shot by a 'trophy hunter' legally, which whips up everybody against those who genuinely do cull deer and other animals, into a mad anti hunting/shooting frenzy, and in doing so, put the poor thing even more at risk of being poached or hunted illegally because of the attached reputation and hype

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...t-village.html

The fact that locals seem to think this animal is 'tame' is very worrying. Even those involved with farmed deer are at risk, a few years ago, a farmer in Yorkshire was killed by a stag when he entered the enclosure, and people are attacked by stags in rut whilst out in the countryside. It's about as sensible as feeding foxes and encouraging them into your garden and house to eat, which some idiots think is a great idea.

Yeah the media. Good at hype eh? How many times had they reported on the "majestic beast" beforehand?

No justification for shooting anything for sport. Majestic or not!

One life is IMO equal in importance to any other. With exceptions---but they are usually human!
