Yay, the housemartins are back

When we moved here first we had housemartins at the back of the house near our spare room window. Until my sod of a lodger decided that he was worried about bugs getting in from the nest and hosed it down while they were building it (not while they were there). So they stopped coming for a few years.

This year they have started building again, and although my stepdaughter doesn't like the noise I love seeing them. They are just so cute, and when the babies come you see their wee heads keeking out of the nest looking at you. Just so sweet. I can't wait!

Yes it's a mess but it's lovely and I can put up with it for the short time they nest there.
