Good morning Moyra and all who follow

Lovely lie in this morning. The sun was shinning but now clouded over. Teazle walked and veg done for lunch. Nothing else planned. Did try to order some plans line yesterday from a local garden centre only to be told "unable to deliver to your area" so why offer online ordering Oh well will join the masses with nothing new in the garden

Hope all are well

Have a good day and stay safe.

Morning Moyra, Sue and all who follow.
Bit overcast here today sun keeps trying but could either way today.

What a pain Sue. I was hoping to do a nice tub and bury Max's and Ollie's ashes in it we scattered some over the parks recently but of course that has been put on hold.
Haven't looked into having plants being delivered might find the same that you have.

Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well today.

Yes Sue I've had similar problems, I think people don't think or are just lazy, I mean how difficult would it be to add a note saying "Some areas we can NOT deliver too" or something simillar.

Alena had one delivery of six tomatoes all dried out & dead. She has ordered from Hayloft with no problems and would recommend them 'tho they are more expensive than many.

I've been told to avoid 'Yougarden.co.uk'

While I'm on logged in can you tell me what you do about greenfly Have you had any problems Have had the blighters attack my blackcurrent bushes, I didn't expect to get a problem this early in the season but three branches covered in the things and distorted all three branches so not much fruit on them this year grrrrrrr.

Is greenfly the soapy water Losos?? My bamboo looks like it is dead, no clue if it's been sprayed with weedkiller from you know who....I will persevere with watering and see how it goes, I don't seem very good at this gardening malarky!

Hello Griff
Press the soil at the base of the bamboo with your hands to see if it is damp. The dirt should be damp to the touch, but not pool with water when you press into it with your hand. If you dig down, the soil needs to be damp down to 6 to 8 inches.

As Griff has said spray soapy water is the answer for greenfly. But does seem early?

Been in the garden today, laid about 10 slabs on top of the wall which is between the raised area of the garden in effect I suppose coping and step. Have rediscovered my love of making mortar albeit in small batches. Also repointed the bits of wall that needed it and put in a step in off the grass. Happy as Larry with it.

Glad to see Boris back.

A bit of unexpected news if you recall my friend Hillary whose husband passed away last week with cancer well she is in hospital with Coved19 tested positive and poorly but not needing full ventilation at the moment.

All good here work tomorrow and hope people carry on with the social distancing, I think we are winning lockdown I think is still the right thing.
