Often wondered why Goldens are posed but Labs are free stood, is there any reason or is it just custom.

Sorry, dunno about that - but I used to stand Kali because it showed off his flag-like tail to good effect. Also, in a wee country show like ours, it looked a bit more "professional", if you know what I mean! Not that it made much difference to the results!

No reason, you dont HAVE to stack your golden either, just custom, Weimies are usually stacked too but i've seen some freestand beautifully!

rather than hanging on to very tip of tail which gives a dipped appearance, try a firm but gentle grasp nearer the middle so you can keep it level with the topline....and tidy up/trim that dog!!!!!
