Why do they do this!? (warning, disgusting)

Why, when my dogs have trained me:

1) to open the back door when they need the toilet (by barking)
2) to come downstairs in the night if they bark (cos they've heard a bin fall over etc)

Do they not bark in the middle of the night when they both have explosive diarrhoea all over the kitchen floor (and fridge, and dishwasher and back door)

Instead it's there until morning, making the whole downstairs smell of poo :smt078

Ha -- that's funny, probably because it is an explosion, just that. I know for me when I gotta go, I gotta go and if I had to wait for somebody to wake up, come down, open the door and let me out -- I'd be in big trouble. I'm assuming it's the same for our canine friends.

Hhmmm, I'd put it down to eating an inordinate amount of horse manure and chicken poo over the last few days (don't ask )

Well, generally, they were both fine anyway!

Up and about this morning, running round the garden like loonies. Trying to bite each others faces on our walk this morning, and generally being hooligans

I made then rice and scrambled eggs for brekkie instead of their normal food, which they wolfed down, then they went to stare at the chickens whilst I got ready for work.

No sign that they'd been ill during the night at all....
