Daily Thread Sunday 15th November

Good morning everyone

What a day and night. Heavy rain and very windy overnight and still pouring when I got up. Teazle had to be persuaded to dash out for a quick wee. She has had breakfast and back to bed. Still raining now

Hope all are well

Have a good day and stay safe.

Rain here too but turned out nice now. Had to rinse Gert down when we came back as it is muddy out and she is short.

Lovely. But can't wait, which I have to, until Wednesday. Sun's out.

That's a brilliant metaphor or paronomasia. Not sure but very good

Hi everyone, Tesco's website is a mess. They are working on it to try and sort it out. In the meantime I have completely overhauled my pc to double check that it is not my problem. Phoned Tesco yes they do have a problem and their IT bods are working on it.

Have a good day stay safe and well, your four legged friends too. God Bless.

Quick question: do any of you have a microwave and would you recommend it?

.................Yes and Yes but with a caveat of I use it less and less now. See how you go without one but would recommend a mini oven they heat quickly and are brilliant for 1/2 person meals even roasts.

I have a combination microwave which I love. But find I use the oven option more than the microwave option these days

Brenda you are going to love living alone I did not think I would adapt however I find it brilliant.

Only thing I do now is when buying a chicken I remove the legs for a curry at a later date and roast the crown part with wings for a dinner then chips chicken or salad the next day with a sarnie and or Chinese chicken fried rice or similar the day after. You learn to adapt but still eat well.

Bet you are so looking forward to it.

Also strongly recommend a slow cooker. In fact between slow cooker and microwave I would choose slow cooker
