I doubt if that, or similar, didnt happen many times in WW2.

I agree.

If it had not been sunk it might have caused a lot more British deaths.

Allways thought at the time the argument condeming the sinking was a disregarded for are forces putting their lives in danger and a bit of political rubbish by Labour traitors against this country and are Armed Forces

The advantage of having inherited wealth in your leaders means they are NOT on the make, don't actually NEED the job and are more likely to have the good of the country at heart rather than seeing it as way to rip people off.

Blair will go down in history as the person who went into an illegal unwanted war trying to emulate Maggie and her victory, Sadly he couldn't do it.

i remember the same fuss because the SAS assinated IRA terroists in Gibraltor.

Sinn fein and other said it was murder etc.
yet, at the same time, the IRA said they were in a 'state of war', so their prisoners should be treated as political, not criminal (they were indeed imprisoned as political prisoners).

surely that means the SAS killed the enemy in an 'act of war'?

which would mean all the people in charge will be rich [by inherited means] and not have a clue about everyday folk.

Pay them all the minimum wage, thats what I say.

Blair will go down in history just the way you say, but I never had it so good

I guess that is the main issue - people are reaping the rewards of lower interest rates, benefits etc.....maybe not realising (or choosing to ignore) what is happening to the finances of the country because of it.
