Barmy Italians

Get this, that old lothario, Silvio Burlesconi....you know he off the alleged financial corruption and company of certain young girls...... is concerned about the morals of his country, so he has introduced powers to local mayors for the purposes of "anti-social behaviour".

and what sort of 'anti social' things have these mayors focussed on for a good ole fashioned banning?

Well, there's miniskirts
sunbathing in public
feeding stray cats
kissing inside cars
playing football in public places (in italy, of all places!)
blasphemy!
building sandcastles
using lawnmowers at weekends
wooden clogs

and i thought our country was full of hypocritical jobsworths!

Sounds like when the Monster Raving Loony Party almost got in round here beating labour & tories - Lib Dems gained most seats.

What did they do ?

Suggest that..

All deer should wear illuminous flat jackets, to save their lives on the road

A subway from the pub to the chipshop

Underfloor heating for all the pensioners in town

Free gloves and scarves for everyone over 60

A monorail from party leaders home, to the pub

Those we're their main manifesto's

Just a little by-the-by:

Barm is an old word for yeast.
Yeast froths as it ferments, so.....

Barmy = frothy

Frothy.....a very interesting connection to "barmy", that I had not realised until now.
