Am staring agility soon with my youngest setter Molly! Should be great! Cant wait! Have to teach her left, right, back and foreward! I thought setters only knew the last one of them! LOL!

What sort of left and right? Jake does fun agility which is basically every apparatus which is used for competition and i've never had to teach him left or right in order for him to be able to do it

Thankyou! I have previously taught Molly the 'twirl' trick with treats, I now just have to add left and right. The paper that was sent to me told me that was how the direction was taught. I just hope she doesnt stop and do a lovely twirl in the middle of the course when left or right is shouted! LOL. As I havent been before I dont fully understand why left and right is important. I presume it is just so that you can tell the dog the direction of the next jump etc. Hope i have vaguely the right idea
