Agility with Stafford - advice on how to start please

I'm seriously considering doing agility with Tam. She loves to jump and boy can she jump

Anyway, can someone give me any advice on where to start. She has just turned 12 months old.

Ooo now that's a thought. Only thing is it'll have to be a squeeky ball for Tam.

lol I think Saffy would lie down and chew the ball into several pieces before bringing it back

Do it Staffy Agility is great fun, Tam will love it and so will you. You do need good control, verbal & signal, so you would have to have a level of obedience that ensures that your dog will focus on you, obey commands, and recall reliably. It is important that you can handle on the right as well as the left and that you start slowly, but any good agility training classes will get you off on the right foot. And you will become so fit!!

PS. It is easy and inexpensive to set up a small agility course at home: weavers, ramps, jumps, etc.

With 3 kids as well as the dogs and OH to look after, I'm always pooped!
I hope you find somewhere to do agility with Tam, it's great fun for owner and dog.You'll make loads of new friends and your relationship with your dog will be on a completely different level.This kind of thing really boosts the bond between dog and owner I think.
Although, I'm sure you have a great relationship anyway, but, you now what I mean hey??
