Well im back on the forum and on the mend

i havnt been online for a while (also means i havnt sorted out my secrete santa yet )
was on the farm taking a couple calves away from their mums, wasnt paying enough attention because sad as it is both mums have been there a couple times before and know what happens (i hate it to tell the truth)
carried the first calf out no problem, mum trotted out behind me and and followed me up the yard,
picked up second calf got to the gate heard a cow running turned round to see a unrelated cow charging me, she knocked me down broke my leg and 3 ribs and broke the calfs hip as she landed on him,
only just got use of laptop back now im home, 6 months of sick if not more

oh and to top it off cheech has been having fits, was just every now and again to start with, getting more common now,
the vet said with in reason it is up to me when we start medication, as he said once he has the first dose there is no looking back and he is stuck on it for the rest of his life, i fear the time for medication is getting close

Goodness, I hope you recover quickly. I do feel for you.

If the fits are here to stay, becoming more frequent such that they are having a big impact on his quality of life you will probably have to medicate. It is scary and the last thing anyone wants, I know.

Big hugs - it sounds like you have a big decision on your hands.

i dont really think its affecting his quality of life to much yet tbh, though he does seem to know when a fit is coming as he goes and lies down on their really think padded bed a few mins before,
it affects marley more as he is always fretting and wont leave cheechss side anymore

Hello Tom welcome back, I'm sorry to hear about what has been going on. I hope things get better for you soon and that we see more of you on here . When you get a chance, find the 'Direct Threads' section, as there is a message there for you about your secret Santa. It has all turned out ok in the end so don't fret about it .
