I mentioned it in another thread Nes, they are supposed to be using the existing Gorilla enclosure, after a huge refurb.

its really bad news not and just for those pandas, they wont breed them they are just a crowd puller, conservationists and wildlife experts are fuming about it.

Thats all any zoos do, bring in animals to make revenue. Thats how they fund their work.

spot on!

the money they spend on conservation in the wild is minimal so they'll be coining it in ...but its good pr if the public believe they do plenty, it gets them through the gates!.... and i believe im right in that saying Edinburgh spend the least of the 9 BIAZA zoos on conserving endangered species in their natural habitat!

They have been trying to get them for years, China wont release any. The Zoo they are going to got rid of their elderly Polar Bear not long ago, thankfully she is doing much better in her new home and looks heaps happier.
