I picked it out on Tuesday because of the Mo part of it's name, little did I know.

Very sad to hear a horse died though.

Good for you Jenny. How much did you have on it?

You're right though, it's always sad when they lose one.

Poor horse. I'm glad I do not support the race or bet on it.

Same here, and at least two more horses were killed the day before during the pre National races there, it`s sickening

Oh god, I didn't know that. So sorry to hear it. Sickening indeed.

Obituary of shame for this years National race meeting

Hear The Echo collapsed in the run-in, he was just 8-years-old.
Exotic Dancer suffered a fatal heart attack.
Mel In Blue broke his neck after falling at Becher’s Brook
Moscow Catch died after a heavy fall that appeared to break his neck
Lilla Sophia who was four-years-old and had raced only three times before, was destroyed after breaking a leg.

RIP noble horses, who`s lives were taken for human entertainment.

Nice post Patch. I've never really decided what I think of horse racing.

We always 'pick' a horse (on the telly) for the National just for the fun of who's does best. I've not placed a bet for about 20 years though.

My 'pick' (Hear The Echo) died today and as I said earlier my last bet 'Dark Ivy' went the same way a number of years ago.

Agreed. It's just not necessary to make the jumps so high and the contenders so many! The only mercy is if they die instantly, if they fall and have to put down it's heart breaking.

I hate the Grand National!
