I'm going to KILL him!!!

I am soooooooo angry with Cain right now, and so disappointed

He has this stupid habit, if he gets a tiny cut on his foot, that he will nag and chew it until half the pad comes off. Well we're due to go on holiday on Tuesday. Down to the coast, a holiday all about Cain, to do hours of walking together. Well I wake up this morning to find his licking his foot. Check it....and he's bloody done it again! Chewed half of his back pad off He did this at Christmas too. I am sooooo upset Now he has a poorly foot right before we are due to go on a lovely walking holiday and play in the sea

Plus it's the same foot and he managed to rip his last boot, so he has a right boot on his left foot. And I can't get a new pair because he always manages to do this on a bloody bank holiday too!!!

Do I've bathed it in salt water, slapped on a load of calendula cream and put a sock and a boot over it to stop him licking it. I'll also dose him on Arnica and hope to he'll it heals up quickly.

I was ao looking forward to hours of walks together. I can't believe he's done this. Talk about rotten timing

Oh no. Hopefully the sea water will do it some good! You're more than welcome to try on the boots I've got here, two different sizes so hopefully at least one will fit.

Thanks, I was going to ask actually. As we've now only got one boot and of he rips that while we're away, I'm stuffed! I was planning to get a 2nd pair in case he did it again but stupidly put it off, and now that'll teach me Definately need spare boots on hand for this dog.

I wish he spoke English and I could explain to him how he really does make life more difficult for himself!

Tip, get boots which are universal so you can use them on ANY foot!

I looked at universal boots but they all looked fairly easy to kick off so I got a pair of Neopaws which are very secure. I think thr L and R this is actually just to do with the way the flaps overlap and do up. The actual sole of the boots look oval and identical, so it probably doesn't make much difference to thr dog wearing thankfully. But I'm definately need to get some more boots have in reserve.

Doggy in disgrace....

Oh dear he does look sorry for himself! Never tried boots the vets have given us a plastic boot thing before which Raina got off in seconds! We just use wadding bandages and that sticky fabric wrapping now.
